Intercom Audible Tones

Audible notifications are a key to a trader’s workflow. Intercom is designed for fast and immediate internal communication and audible tones are necessary for the users to be alerted when there is new activity on the C9 Trader application. All the intercom tones are consistent across all users and will not be allowed to be customized.

Call Connect Tone:
This tone informs the calling party and called parties that the microphone is active and transmitting and that they are now actively engaged in a full duplex (microphones and speakers active) peer-to-peer or peer-to-group intercom call. This tone is consistent both calling party and called parties. This tone will be audible on the notification device that is configured on the C9 Trader application.

Call Waiting Tone:
This tone informs the calling party that the intercom call is not connected. This tone will be audible on the intercom device.

Call Pending Tone:
This tone applies to the called party and notifies the called party for any incoming intercom calls when the user is currently engaged on a call or has auto-answer set to off. This will be a splash tone and will only be heard once. This tone will be audible on the notification device that is configured on the C9 Trader application.

Error Tone:
This tone informs the calling party that there was an error in setting up the audio path and is like the traditional reorder tone that is received on a telephone. This tone will be audible on the intercom device.
