Alerts and Notifications

Alerts and Notifications can be managed in the Notifications section of the Settings menu. See Managing Notification Settings to learn more.

In this menu, you can set ring tones and ring tone duration for both Idle State, when you’re not engaged in conversation with counterparties, and Busy State, when you’re actively engaged with the counterparty.

You have the option to:
  • Turn the ring notification off
  • Be alerted with a single sing
  • Have the application ring continuously until you either answer or the counterparty hangs up (default).


If you have your Ringdown Pop-ups turned on, you will receive a pop-up toast message when the C9 Trader application window is closed and call activity occurs on ringdown buttons.

If you have your Shoutdown Pop-ups turned on, you will receive a pop-up message when the C9 Trader application window is closed and call activity occurs on shoutdown buttons.

If a Shoutdown or Ringdown call is incoming while the C9 Trader application window is open, the button will flash red.

The Activity Indicator Delay setting is located at the bottom of the Notifications menu.  This setting determines how long a button will flash on your interface once a call has ended if it goes unanswered. The default is set to three seconds but you can select a range from 0 - 60 seconds.
