Setting Up Audio

You can use your existing computer audio devices or a variety of microphone and speaker devices to start communicating on the C9 Trader. Upon starting your C9 Trader, the program will detect your microphone, speaker, and handset devices (if applicable). To adjust these devices or select a different device at any time, navigate to the Settings menu and select the Audio Devices tab. 
 
Microphone Audio:
  • Select the connection type that you would like to correspond to your Microphone/Speaker: 
    • The speaker icon corresponds to Shoutdowns
    • The bell icon corresponds to Ringdowns
    • The telephone icon corresponds to Click to Call 
  • Select the Device Details button, and choose your microphone input device from the drop-down menu.
  • Adjust the volume meter slider or select check the automatically adjust volume box.
  • Audio Boost levels should be set to zero - only increase this level if the far-end cannot hear you. To increase your Audio Boost Levels, select the drop down and adjust the levels. 
  • Select the speaker output device from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the play button to test your audio and confirm it is properly configured.
Left Handset Audio:
If you are only using one handset, set your audio settings for that device under "Left Handset."
  • Select the connection type that you would like to correspond to your Left Handset Device: 
    • The speaker icon corresponds to Shoutdowns
    • The bell icon corresponds to Ringdowns
    • The telephone icon corresponds to Click to Call 
  • Note: This cannot be the same connection type that you assigned to your Microphone/Speaker or Right Handset (if applicable).
  • Select the handset device from the drop-down menu. 
  • Adjust the volume meter slider or select check the automatically adjust volume box.
  • Audio Boost levels should be set to zero - only increase this level if the far-end cannot hear you. To increase your Audio Boost Levels, select the drop down and adjust the levels. 
  • Select the speaker output device from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the play button to test your audio and confirm it is properly configured.
Right Handset Audio:
If you would like to enable an additional handset device, check the option to "Enable Additional Device."
  • Select the connection type that you would like to correspond to your Right Handset Device: 
    • The speaker icon corresponds to Shoutdowns
    • The bell icon corresponds to Ringdowns
    • The telephone icon corresponds to Click to Call 
  • Note: This cannot be the same connection type that you assigned to your Microphone/Speaker or Left Handset.
  • Select the handset device from the drop-down menu. 
  • Adjust the volume meter slider or select check the automatically adjust volume box.
  • Audio Boost levels should be set to zero - only increase this level if the far-end cannot hear you. To increase your Audio Boost Levels, select the drop down and adjust the levels. 
  • Select the speaker output device from the drop-down menu.
  • Click the play button to test your audio and confirm it is properly configured.
Note: If you choose Click to Call as your connection type, you will also have the additional option of adjusting the speaker volume. This volume does not affect Shoutdowns or Ringdowns, even if the device for these call types is shared with Click to Call. 

Notification & Alert Device:
  • Select the device that will alert when someone signals you on a ringdown connection or incoming private call.
  • Click the play button to test your audio and confirm it is properly configured.
